Cui Bono? Is This The Answer?

The following short documentary provokes some thoughts on the development of the western monetary system in the previous centuries and mainly through the 20th Century. Though, the way it portrays the reasons behind the 1929 Great Depression seem somewhat contradictory to its historic portrayal in Century of The Self documentary (find it below). Or maybe this aspect is another layer of those historical events, I'm not sure. I found this documentary insightful to watch, although again the video editing is rather sensational with those in-between-scenes animations, why they make it like that? Maybe it's a psychological method to keep the audience attention. Well, I care about the information, not the blink it is presented with, lol.

Anyway, I decided to post it, because it does utilizes historical facts. Of course, let's not forget that history is highly susceptible to interpretation and the way this interpretation is presented can make historic events fit a lot of viewpoints, even contradictory ones, by the art of adaptation. It is true that history can be and on many occasions has been revised.
So, watch with criticism and analyze history from as much aspects and viewpoints as available. Yeah, that last word from the previous sentence has a great importance indeed, uncorrupted information is still available, not on mainstream media I guess. No wonder why.

As fabulously empowering as incredible wealth may be, still, those people's ideals are so narrow, trapped in their own life time. Gaining and gaining out of a huge population mass' suffering. How can they truly enjoy their wealth in this way, seeing all the general misery of those billions of people? I am truly amazed at human nature, truly amazed. All the selfish-derived, most primitive, immoral, ruthless qualities are so abundant in this world in every layer of society. You know, Jung was so chillingly serious in his humorous remark that if someone presented to him a sane man, he would cure him. What a nut house. Ah, America, what a mess you are. What a mess this world is and what a mess is my country too. Horrible.

The term "Masters of the Universe" that the narrator uses by the end of the documentary made me raise my eye brows. I heard it in use addressing people in the banking business in another documentary as well. Interesting designation, so eccentric, very incorrect I have to say. Masters of nothing, transient wealth in a transient history. I am Master of the Universe and I think we'll blow up this ridiculous planet. Just joking, so rude. I dream of a better world....! And those documentaries just make me sick and deprived of any point of doing anything, apart from taking care of my own well-being, I guess. What a bleep. I'm joking again. Here is another video, since we are on a banking wave. A rather cheerful one and educational too. Enjoy.

P.S. Title is "When Markets Go Mad" and I didn't find it in Youtube, so to embed it here. Here is a link to another website where you can watch it, I saw it there.

And another one of these series: http://freedocumentaries.org/int.php?filmID=342
Of course, the silly line "Looks like a market" at the beginning of the documentary just had to be said by a woman.

George Orwell Would Be Glad He Is Dead

Hm, strange title, so grammatically incoherent. Indeed, sometimes the unfolding of events in human history may seem just the same. Filled with controversy, misleading, propaganda, pure insanity, peculiarity and unfitting pieces in between. Makes you wonder, what is it all about.

The following documentary has a rather unprofessional presentation with a certain degree of "conspiracy thriller" crap in it. The voice of the narrator is overdone, along with the music background, aiming to induce a revolutionary truth revelation sensation in the observer. However, there are a few quite insightful interviews with serious professionals and academics, as well as a good amount of factual data, that really makes you think about it. A lot of provoking questions are raised, that have been purposefully underexposed by media for one reason or another. The common ignorance of mass people is sadly evident in the scenes too. Watch it with critical mindset and analyze with the tools of reason and intellect. Don't let the introduction and narrator's voice put you off, I recommend seeing the entire documentary.

Cui bono? And what for? Where is the sanity in all this? Not to mention moral, humanity and so on.

I want to share with you another documentary, concerning corporate media and media monopoly in relation to this post's title, as an essential aspect of the entire topic/issue overall. It is in parts, so at the end of each you will have to select the next part to continue, like most of the full-length videos in Youtube.

Title: Orwell Rolls in his Grave

And lastly, I stumbled upon this documentary series of a Dutch TV network that discuss the aggressive military policies of both USA and Israel, future military prospects and issues in this aspect. I must say I am far from an antisemitic mindset, on the contrary, I have always felt deeply sentimental about Semitic people, Jews and Arabs alike. However, sentiment and emotions are one thing at a hand, while rationality is another. And those two are not to be used together, when objective judgment is to be applied. In all, the increasing demoralization in the civilized world alarms me greatly, as well. The documentary is in parts, I embed the first part and the last part here, you will have to search for the other parts in Youtube yourself.

Roma People are Like a Virus - They Don’t Contribute To Society, But Only Take From It, By Legal and Illegal Means. The Purposeful Subjectivity of Human Rights Advocates Profiteers

Recently a lot is being discussed about the expulsion of Roma people from France. Lots of advocates for human rights are voicing aloud their disagreement with this disgraceful act of Sarkozy’s.
I watched a few reports on Euronews and CNN and it became obvious to me that those reports are rather too subjective and do not cover the entirety of the issue with these so called Roma people.
First of all, they have nothing to do with Rome, to make this one clear. They came with the Ottoman empire back a few centuries ago and stayed when the Ottoman armies retreated. That is why most of them are to be found in Bulgaria and Romania, the countries that are closest to Turkey and were occupied by the Ottoman armies the longest. I must say that I feel shame, seeing those despicable nomadic people being portrayed as Bulgarians. They don't even identify themselves as Bulgarians, but as Roma whatevers. Here in Bulgaria, those Roma people are a great problem. Most of them refuse to work and refuse to send their children to school, because it is far more profitable for them to send their kids to beg on the streets.
There have been plenty of attempts here to integrate them in our society, to give them jobs and free education for their children, but they simply refuse to integrate. They steal from their employers and do very poor job and in the end, naturally, get fired. Anyone who does that would get fired, right?! Most of the Roma people, or gypsies, are involved in criminal activities, selling drugs, robbing people, stealing electricity cables from the national grid to sell the copper inside. There have been attempts to roof them and entire small neighborhoods have been built and given to dozens of Roma families to live in, for free, and after a few months they completely wreck the houses, light fires inside, like savages. I mean, come on, those wretched human beings get to have houses for free, well, I want a free house too. Is this fair?! This system is just wrong, so upside down.

Those reporters portraying the Roma as victims are so subjective and so poorly informed. Why don’t they take into account all of the above? And those advocates of human rights, why don’t they take into account that those Roma people abuse with their children, making them beg and steal? Isn’t that considered violation of the human rights of those children? Or may be it is not considered as such, because the violators are their own parents. They even mutilate their children in order to make them more *attractive* beggars.

And that the Roma just reproduce mindlessly like animals all to produce armies of beggars and units to suck social benefits for from the unfortunate societies they have installed themselves in. Why are these small details not taken into account? Those people are a great trouble to societies they live in and everyone in Europe knows that.

Of course, there are those very few Roma people who are actually integrated, they have jobs, they have nice homes, their children go to school and even to university. They are normal people and no one minds them. I had two Roma classmates in high school, completely normal, well dressed boys, no one ever minded that they were Roma. But we do mind seeing all those pitiful Roma kids begging on the streets and women with drugged babies on their hands begging and Roma gangs stealing cables and creating trouble, we mind those people, yes, and I personally would love to see them go away somewhere else, far. You see, it is not about irrational ethnic discrimination, as those “advocates” try to present it, but about social trouble makers that are a burden for our societies. It is a fact that more than 80% of the Roma population are involved in the aforementioned activities.

So, these human rights advocates are extremely subjective, not taking into account so many important aspects of those Roma people lifestyle. This way of presenting the situation is fundamentally flawed and shapes opinions in an incorrect manner. They must be making good money for this meaningless lobby overexposure of theirs, those “advocates”.

And the EU, the European Union is one political bulk of thousands of clerks and office workers down the hierarchy that are completely needless. Sometimes I am truly amazed at the level of ignorance supposedly educated people may have. And yes, the title is highly politically incorrect, but that again, where is the border between politically correct speech and pure hypocrisy? After all, is saying things that are not correct politically correct?

Marketing, Psychology, Politics, Manipulation and Consumerism. Enlighten Your Unconsciousness To the New Trends

Quite an insightful documentary on how theory of psychoanalysis was adopted by corporations to create the modern consumer society. The shift from products that you need, to products that you simply desire. Creating the need for products, rather than responding to a need with a product. The workings of the unconsciousness brilliantly utilized in mass marketing. Group behavior, psychology of the crowd, social engineering and commercial manipulation. It's like McDonald's former "Super size", they observed that people felt guilty buying twice the same portion, but this guilt was bypassed if the portion was enlarged. Managing the irrational judgement of the masses and guiding it to consume.
Channeling and shaping people's opinion, views and even the way they think. The birth of PR and lobbyism in modern society. Wow, stunning.

Can the individual ever be truly free? It seems that true freedom is found only outside the crowd.
And what about Equality? Are individuals truly equal or is it just a democratic bullshit? To start with, individuals can have very different starts in life. Your parents may be rich and I may be born an orphant. But, what if two individuals have the same start in life? Say two persons from two average middle-class families. The one is keen to learn, goes in university and graduates, then works and begins to make good money. And the other is lazy, not interested in studying, but just trashes around and does nothing meaningful. Can these two individuals truly be thought of as equal? Well, no, they cannot be equal. People are not equal, because they have different levels of motivation. Thus, social equality is just as an empty concept as freedom of the masses is.
Life circumstances and family environment can make a great difference between individuals and the opportunities they may have in life, but in the end it is about motivation. About how far you want to go, in your life, in your character, in your knowledge.

However, still every individual has a right of dignity, of pursuing his or her ideals, freedom of speach and so on. And, of course, an individual can always consciously choose a lifestyle of seclusion and self-sufficiency like a hippie, not aspiring to career or making money or whatever, just enjoying the beauty of nature without bothering about nothing much and without complaining either.

However that, the biggest question of all is, can society function in any other way after all or is this the only way for things to be? (See documentaries below). Or may be the last question is born out of a lack of imagination?! Can human civilization follow any other path of development than the one it currently is on? Is there any other way and most importantly, even if there is, how can it be achieved? Is it possible? A world without military technology, without different Gods, without exploitation, a world of higher intelligence and clearer reason

Documentary title: Century of the Self.
(I cannot agree with the title though, by "Self" they mean "Ego-self").
The documentary follows and analyzes business, social and political developments in the 20th Century and the intimate entanglement of those three.

Episode 1 - Happiness Machines 1 of 6

YOU are part of "the masses", lol. Seriously.

"Understand, Neo, that most of these people are not ready to be unplugged, and many of them are so inert, so hopelessly dependent on the system, that they will fight to protect it."
Morpheus

Episode 2 - The Engineering of Consent 1 of 6

Although I do agree with the psychoanalytic notion that you can change people (to the better) by expanding their understanding. However, something went very wrong down the line with this enlightened ideal. And that was its use for social engineering and consumerism. Psychoanalysis should be practiced the Jungian way and exclude psychiatry from its methods. I think the methodology is wrong, very. But hey, how do you establish the right way to do it without going through the wrong ones first?! Lol.
First it was "Repress the primal emotions", then it was "Free the primal emotions", now it is Be freely repressed or repressedly free or something in between with or without emotions, aah, forget it, just go to a pharmacy near you and by yourself a pack of Prozac - it's good for you and it's good for the business, thus everyone is happy and feeling good.

Now I finally understand why Freud gained more popularity than Jung, when the ideas of the latter were far more profound and potentially life-altering on the self-realization level. Because Freud's ideas were commercially applicable for manipulation of the masses, while Jung's were meant to truly bring deeper understanding and psychological clarity to the individual. And if I create a, say, popular entertainment blog, it will have far more hits than this one.

Oh well, people just don't like to think, left aside they are being taught not to. Lol. Everything in this world is about making money and nothing more, nothing less. Making money at any cost

Episode 3 - There is a Policeman Inside All Our Heads: He Must Be Destroyed

Ah, experimental psychology. Experimenting with people and society. Now isn't that cool.
- Hey, what's your job?
- Oh, I'm a radical psychologist.

Speaking of creating trends and commercial persuasion, do you remember this Purple initiative of Yahoo!, I'm not sure when it was, two ot three years ago, when they promoted on their website that that year was "Purple year" or something like this and that everyone should have something purple, whether your sweater, or dress, socks or bike or etc. Yeah.

I just didn't understood why they encouraged people to express their ugliest emotions like aggression and hate? I mean, where is the liberation in this, without reaching to the source of these emotions, there is no realization, but only primal release of pressure?!
I guess people were pondering their new-found freedoms of public expression of their true opinion and discontents. See, one of the many negative effects of the opression of the Church, it makes people pervert and totally lacking of self-control when confronted with freedom.

And I thought the methodology of the Freudians was wrong, lol, just see all those people packed in a room screaming and cursing like crazy, so brutal. By the way, these therapeutic methods weren't invented by those radical psychologists. For instance, Aleister Crowley is known to have practiced similar with his disciples.

Anyway, I thought that the hippie movement was a natural development of sub-culture societies in USA and, this documentary suggests that it was actually driven by psychological circles?! And I also thought that the hippie movement changed the conventions of fashion, and it turns out that they didn't, Marketing did! Ah, the ignorance.

The business was thinking hard "How to appeal to this new breed of *individuals*, how to tap them in. Of course, this is it - offer them product variety!" Ingenious. A.k.a 1960s
- Hey, you are so individualistic with this pink ipod of yours.

So, marketing is strongly connected with social research and statistics (Duh) exploring the different lifestyles of people and stereotypes that assemble in groups. "Yo, let's target that *group* with our new product line".
I long suspected there is no true individualism, lol, it's because human psyche doesn't has infinite combinations, just like our DNA. It turns out that, the concept that "Everyone is a unique person" is again a marketing concept and is by no means true. Noone is unique, everyone falls into types, lifestyles and groups. What a bleep.

Episode 4 - Eight People Sipping Wine in Kettering

So, is the business flexibly adapting to new trends in society or is it creating them? Remains unclear. It is both ways around, I guess.

The Unnecessary Theology or is Religion Obsolete? A Short Reflection

Ritual behavior is as old as human societies. It is intrinsic to the primal human psyche and served as a social basis of tribal communities. Early shamanism and tribal spirituality gradually evolved through the ages into religion, as every other generation expanded and built upon the spiritual beliefs of their ancestors. It is uncertain as to when religious influence was utilized as a tool for social control, but probably that has been done ever since shamanic times, since the shaman had a very special role in tribal societies and he or she was considered an important authority. And with authority comes influence and power. And with power too often comes abuse, especially later on and into the Medieval of Europe (and even more so today, though the sources are shifting from religious authorities to corporative and political, but that's another subject to discuss).

Religion is quite a peculiar phenomenon of human mind and in particular of this domain of it, that we know as Psyche. Symbolism is one of the earliest representations of spiritual believes, along with rituals. For some unclear reasons as of yet, psychologically humans need ritualistic assertion and reconciliation of their whatever deeds. Evolution of symbolism and religious thought are vast topics, hard to cover in brief. Actually, in brief one can give only the conclusions. That is, religion in all of its forms, had, historically, a major role in social governance and pharaohs, emperors and kings alike were attributed divine rights given to them from the God entity itself, so that to ensure public acceptance and so on pragmatic reasons. On the other hand, religion has a very important psychological function in giving hope and meaning to those unfortunate masses that weren't born with kingship rights, because those downthrotten masses needed all the hope for justice they could get, even though illusionary, since priests and popes alike always have been on the side of the ruling parties with the function of public speakers to tame the peasant crowds. Leaving satire aside, religion and religious esoterism are very interesting to study all in respect to psychology and the workings of  the unconsciousness. For the serious explorer a few major points are established and these are as follows:

  • If we consider the Universe as a representation of a God entity, then it would be inconsistent to ascribe particular religious preferences to it. That is, put archaically, God does not have a religion
  • All the evil in this world comes from the irresponsible, selfish and primitive actions of humans. Natural disasters, for instance, cannot be described as evil, because they are part of Earth's climatic and geologic life, thus they are as necessary as good weather. If humans ascribe their own evilness to outside forces, this is only their own inability to take responsibility and self-control, unless they have mental disabilities in the psychiatric sense.
  • There is no need for special places of worship in order to attain personal insight nor does continuous, entranced pray bring deeper awareness. These are achieved by mental effort of thinking, not by memorizing and repeating old verses.
  • Ignorance is not a bliss, it is a concept for control over the masses still very much in use today.

In short, religion has served its role and can no longer positively serve as a unifying agent, but on the contrary, religion is a major segregator in our contemporary globalized society. And humanity better realize this sooner and take the next step in our mental advancement. So, yes, religion is obsolete and theology is a thing of our more primitive past and understanding.

Religion must be interpreted through the aspects of psychology. This is the only way to realize its meaning and understand its essense. Nevertheless the seriousness of this pressing topic, let's conclude this article with a sense of humor:

The Outer Journey of a Wandering Soul

In this twisted world with so much delusion, propaganda and adjusted information a person ends up wondering in confusion what is right and what is wrong, what is true and what is not. Science and the philosophies are so much simpler in this regard, so much purer and easier to comprehend than politics, for instance.

Never before have I paid attention to the so called conspiracy theories, nor economics, nor politics. Those things didn’t really interested me, I saw them as trivial, banal and so much lacking of inspiration. I was interested in science, philosophy, psychology, religion and the esoteric. I remember about ten years ago reading in a book on Kabbalah by Papius about a magic head, just head without a body, that was able to speak and that gave answers to any question that its owner asked. A talking head with infinite wisdom that held the answers to everything. Wow. I remember I was so impressed by this supposedly existent magical source of knowledge, that I dreamed of owning such a head, I thought I would do nothing else but ask it questions until there are no questions left without an answer. On another occasion later on, doing a sacred incantation guided by another book, The Keys of Solomon, I made a wish to an all powerful dark angel demanding that “I want to know everything. I want wisdom and knowledge of it all.” I was 17 or so, alone in my room, sitting in a circle of salt surrounded by hand-drawn magic squares and symbols in front of the mirror. I saw nothing in it but my own image that almost shapeshifted the longer I starred at it. No eternal wisdom struck me at that time and I finished the ritual rather disappointed.

Back then I still didn’t knew that knowledge and wisdom are the result of much effort and persistence in learning and that those weren’t something that just come out of nowhere as a divine revelation neither are something that necessarily come with age. One doesn’t necessarily get wiser the older one gets if one doesn’t puts conscious effort in thinking. Even learning alone is not enough, one has to think, to contemplate and comprehend, to analyze and synthesize.

I began reading a lot, books and in the almighty Internet, watching documentaries was also something I used to do a lot, I’ve had periods doing just that all days long. Yes, you can call me a retard in a way I guess. I mean, I was 17 when I just discovered the riches of learning. But it was rather a rediscovery. I’ve been an inquisitive child ever since I learned to speak and an excellent student up until the fifth grade. But then in my early teenagehood I fell under the influence of bad company in bad social times. Between the ages of about 10 and 16 I used to drink, a few beers were all that I needed and then later the bad company I hooked up with introduced me to hard drugs, so I got addicted. Crazy huh, all this at such a tender age. A child. I was escaping family turbulences and I guess I needed some sort of everyday meaning that the drugs just provided. Anyway, the dark ages of my youth were ended for good at the age of 16, when my father finally took some parental responsibilities, beat me up seriously and locked me up at home for over a month. That was his way of dealing with family issues. We changed neighborhoods too and this was the beginning of my personal Renaissance. He left us after a few years and this was the end of the beginning of my new life without oppression and domestic tension.

And so my conscious quest for knowledge and wisdom began. I was mesmerized by the profound mysteries of the esoteric teachings and religions. Back on track in search of God after I got disillusioned about Her, never answering my prayers when I was 10 about peace and love between mother and father. By that time (after my dark ages) I already had come to the conclusion that there was something else guiding human behavior and relationships, so I got interested in psychology. I read two thick books of Pier Dako and a high school book on psychology before stumbling upon a book of Carl G. Jung’s. Not sure which of his works was the first I read, I think it was EON, in line with my esoteric interests as well. I also marveled at the amazingness of the Universe and began reading cosmology articles in astronomy websites. Then biology, the mysteries of life and evolution. Little by little, piece by piece the big picture of everything assembled in my mind. Sufi poetry filled my heart with bliss and inspiration. Zen sayings brought food for contemplation, though that was further later on. I read the entire bible and the quran too, along with some idiotic literature like the bible of the mormon. Lastly came quantum physics to the reaches of my horizons, connecting the big pieces with the little ones, the vastness within with the vastness without. Gradually I began realizing things, some of those were so profound to me that I was stunned for days. By then I realized another thing, that I didn’t needed a talking head, I had a head of my own and that no answers come to you until you are ready for them and also that wisdom takes time, apart from effort.

The big picture assembled from the beginning to the end, from the composition of atoms to the fusion of galaxies, from carbon to single celled organisms and following the logical branching and workings of evolution up to Homo Sapiens. Everything was getting clearer and clearer the more I learned and the more I contemplated. The old wisdom was finding its peculiar correlations with modern scientific ideas and observations on the cosmos. Then one day I thought, that the nature of black holes or Singularity was closest to that supreme God entity that esoteric teachings envisioned. Then I noticed the patterns in evolution and that there was no beauty in nature, but only pragmatic behavior, every element in it had a purpose and was directly related to another element with which it interacts. Every single design detail has a purpose that is directly influenced by the environment to which the organism is adapted. The different levels of evolution, some are really fast paced and other take tens of hundreds of years.

One of the most altering realizations I’ve had was about religion and that it is a product of human mind and the collective need of social order. Religion is quite a complex phenomenon of human society indeed and it is composed of many different levels. The most superficial are those related to framing society in order to create social order, which was essential in the development of civilizations and the most profound levels spring deep from the hidden layers of the human psyche. Human psychology is a very intricate and complex mental structure too with its most basic frame rooted in our mammalian instincts. That is why the God figures throughout the Evolution of Religious Thought always bear strong parental qualities. I realized that the religious concept of God is a projected construct that served a major balancing role for the human psyche and that without it humans may have as well gone mad. Not that they are not behaving quite insanely with it, fighting and killing each other off because “Your god is not my god”. So ridiculous, if only people could realize it and go through this realization without going mad, since the psyche is such a fragile structure, so easily destabilized and illusions can prove so hard to let go of. There are so many humans in this world whose sole meaning in their lives are their religious beliefs. So sad, who knows how long this will go on. Of course, the lack of a religious God-figure in this Universe does not by any means make it a cold and pointless space. Not at all. There are levels of truth and levels of reality. The Universe, it seems, is an amazing quantum structure of energy that behaves as a system, an organism even that we are all part of.

It was tough to realize that the grown ups aren’t really grown up in their minds. The realization that mostly just the bodies of people aged, but their minds remained on more or less basic levels of knowledge and understanding without ever going beyond the dogma and paradigm discouraged me greatly. Such a tough coming to awareness. The more I realized the more lonely I began to feel, seeing that this uncommon knowledge was not in the possession of many, none of my peers. I’ve always wanted to have a teacher, as described in the esoteric books, I never met one anyway. But then I realized that the Universe itself has become my teacher and this became my personal “religion” if you will. The Universe is always around and one is always in her embrace, like a womb that cares for you, even if at times somewhat indifferently. But that again, most of the times things do flow in ways that correlate, fit in my attitude, my mindset, my path, Synchronicity is something I experience a lot, not to mention the strange telepathic-providence instances that I’ve been through on many occasions that still remain rather inexplicable and beyond willful control. Though quantum physics does shed some light on these, still a lot to learn, a lot of expanses beyond the horizon to be revealed. Not long ago I understood what they meant by “Wisdom is a heavy burden”. It is. Though, I can bear it and much, way much more.

So there, the short story of my life. Not as short as I intended it I must say. Blog posts are meant to be somewhat shorter, well, it is not Twitter either, lol. But just those words, they are like a river, pouring on and on and on into an ocean. At some point you find yourself completely surrounded by its waters, lost sight of the land. The land is here, though, very close, just beyond the next sentence. I think humanity is on the verge of something, a great potential that can bring something that has never been before.
